Our first speaker was Mona Balalaa, manager, In-Country Value Execution from ADNOC who provided an overview of a united approach across the ADNOC group of companies providing one formula for all. Her explanation of how to get ICV certified and the award strategy illustration was insightful to understand the weighting of the process along with how the company helps drive in-country value.
Ali Al Janabi, country chairman Shell Group of Companies Iraq and UAE provided a snapshot of the business along with a country profile and the history of the business. He highlighted some of the social investment projects and advised companies to consider ADNOC’s future journey in order to engage and truly understand the supply chain opportunities.
Nick Cochrane-Dyet MBE, special advisor to BP Middle East talked about the importance of sustainability through partnership working in Abu Dhabi and how businesses in the UK could learn from ADNOC’s innovative thinking and future-proofing.
Khalid Al Qubaisi, managing director of the Al Yaseah Group highlighted the importance of identifying the most relevant products and services but to also think about the end user. He reiterated that ADNOC is open for business but companies should ‘do their homework’ when registering with the company and to consider the key potential business areas including robotics and waste to energy.
Ryan McPherson, regional director Middle East at The EIC provided us with some insightful data focussing on why businesses should consider Abu Dhabi; one of those being the big plans for capex spend and the diversification of the oil and gas sector.
Part 2 takes place next week on 23rd March 2021. Make sure you register now to firstname.lastname@example.org
